Imperial Hotel

PROJECT DETAILS:
S&J Edward Tiling took part in the renovations of The Imperial Hotel located on the corner of Spring Street and Bourke Street in Melbourne’s CBD. The Imperial is the third oldest pub in Melbourne built in 1863.

Project managed by Ramvek PL, renovation works included wall tiling for all three levels for the male, female and disabled bathrooms. Each level had a different style and range of tiles, including handmade terracotta, glazed wall tile. Tiles were selected by New Line Design and supplied and installed by S&J Edward Tiling.

The tables found on the roof top have a mosaic tiled surface that was tiled offsite by our team and now completes the retro outdoor setting.

The area in front of the bar on the ground floor was tiled by our team with vitrified porcelain stone to compliment the dark dramatic  tones of the bar area.

The facade maintains a traditional colonial style, chiselled faced blue stone as the base stone that was mechanically fixed to support the weight of the stone and sealed for protection from dirt penetration.
